Pakistan Army Conducts Operations Killing 12 Terrorists Including High-Value Target in Balochistan
Pakistani security forces have successfully neutralised 12 terrorists, including a significant target, in two distinct operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. The military disclosed these operations on Wednesday. The first operation occurred between November 12 and 13 in Miranshah district, where eight militants were killed, and six others injured in North Waziristan.

The second operation unfolded in Balgatar, Kech district of Balochistan. Security forces targeted a known terrorist hideout, resulting in the deaths of four terrorists. Among them was Sana alias Baru, a notorious leader involved in recruiting suicide bombers for the Majeed Brigade. Baru was on the most-wanted list of law enforcement agencies.
Security Forces' Determination
The military emphasised its commitment to maintaining peace and stability in Balochistan. A sanitisation operation is ongoing to eliminate any remaining khariji terrorists in the area. The term "khariji" has been officially adopted to describe perpetrators of terrorist attacks on Pakistan, following a government notification in July.
Pakistan's security forces continue to face increasing attacks, particularly after the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) ended a ceasefire agreement with the government in 2022. Despite these challenges, the military remains resolute in its mission to eradicate terrorism from the region.
Recent Operations and Outcomes
In recent weeks, security forces have engaged in multiple encounters resulting in numerous terrorist casualties. On November 10, ten terrorists were killed and eight injured during three separate encounters in North Waziristan. Earlier, on November 7, five terrorists were killed during a clash in South Waziristan, where four soldiers also lost their lives.
On November 4, seven terrorists were eliminated across different operations—one in Balochistan and six during two operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Similarly, on November 2, four terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation in South Waziristan.
The military's efforts underscore its unwavering resolve to combat terrorism and ensure regional stability. These operations highlight the ongoing challenges faced by security forces as they work tirelessly to protect the nation from terrorist threats.
