Portland, a city in the US Pacific Northwest, has seen nightly protests since last Tuesday, when Trump was declared elected 45th President of the US.

Monday was the first time that such an event took place during day time. No arrests were made on Monday and students were allowed to gather in front of the City Hall.

The authorities in Portland said in a statement that more than 100 protestors were arrested for violating laws.
