Hamas Leader Yahya Sinwar’s Last Moments Caught On Drone Camera - Watch
Israeli military officials have released drone footage showing what are believed to be the final moments of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, who was killed on Thursday during a military operation. The video shows Sinwar seated on a sofa inside a building that appears to have been destroyed in the operation. Sinwar, who orchestrated the October 7 attacks on Israel, is visibly covered in dust, with his right hand injured.
The footage captures the impact of the shelling on the building, which had been heavily damaged. As the Israeli drone approaches, Sinwar is seen throwing a wooden plank or stick at the aircraft in a final act of defiance.

According to Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz, DNA testing has confirmed Sinwar's death. "Our forces used a drone to scan the area, which you can see here in the footage I'm presenting," Katz explained. Sinwar had reportedly sought refuge in the building after being injured in an earlier gunfire exchange.
US President Joe Biden responded to the news, calling Sinwar's death a significant step forward but emphasizing that challenges remain. "An obstacle has been removed, but there is still much work to be done," Biden said in a statement. He further elaborated on the opportunity for a "day after" in Gaza, envisioning a future without Hamas in power and with the possibility of a political settlement benefiting both Israelis and Palestinians.
Biden hailed the operation as a major victory for Israel, the U.S., and the world, stating, "This is a good day for Israel, for the United States, and for the world." He reaffirmed that "Israel has had every right to eliminate the leadership and military structure of Hamas," adding that Sinwar's death serves as a reminder that "no terrorist anywhere in the world can escape justice, no matter how long it takes."
The US President also addressed the October 7 attack, which claimed the lives of thousands of civilians. "Yahya Sinwar was responsible for the deaths of Israelis, Palestinians, Americans, and citizens from over 30 countries. He masterminded the October 7 massacre and was behind the brutal killings, rapes, and kidnappings," Biden stated, highlighting the terror unleashed by Sinwar and his followers.
Biden concluded by noting that uS Special Operations personnel and intelligence services had worked closely with Israel to track down Sinwar. "Shortly after the October 7 massacres, I directed our teams to assist in locating Sinwar and other Hamas leaders. With our intelligence help, the IDF relentlessly pursued them, ultimately leading to Sinwar's demise."
