Ultra Q, an alternative rock band led by Jakob Danger, the son of Green Day's frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, is slated to open the event. The concert's proceeds will be directed towards United Nations Human Rights climate justice initiatives and a MusiCares climate fund designed to support musicians impacted by climate change.

The Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Alliance will commend Green Day for their dedication to social justice and environmental causes. Volker Turk, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, praised Green Day's efforts in leveraging their influence and platform to highlight the effects of climate change on people and the environment. "The United Nations was founded in San Francisco almost 80 years ago to safeguard human rights and dignity from crisis and tragedy. It is only fitting that we are back in San Francisco," Turk remarked.

Harvey Mason jr., CEO of the Recording Academy, emphasized the power of music as a vital human resource capable of moving the world. He expressed gratitude towards Green Day for their long-standing commitment to promoting social justice.

Tickets for this much-anticipated event will be available for purchase starting Friday at 12 p.m. PDT through Ticketmaster. This concert not only promises an unforgettable musical experience but also represents a crucial step towards mobilizing action for climate justice and supporting those affected by climate change.
