God bless Iowa, says Ted Cruz after victory
Des Moines (Iowa), Feb 2: "God Bless Iowa," is what Ted Cruz, the Republican who won the opening caucuses in the state said at his headquarters on Monday night.
Cruz, the junior Senator from Texas, who received a record 47,510 votes at Iowa, said the next leader of the US will not be chosen by the media, the establishment at Washington or the lobbyists but by the people of the United States.

Cruz, who was given a warm welcome at the headquarters, said he and his teams were not tired by the demanding campaigning and rather were inspired by their supporters.
The 45-year-old politician defeated Donald Trump (24% to the former's 28%) at the Iowa caucuses that saw a close contest.
