He remarked, "Give the bully an inch, he will take a mile." This statement was made shortly after Trump hinted at potential penalties for China due to its energy connections with Moscow during a White House press conference.

When questioned about the possibility of secondary sanctions on China, which is the largest importer of Russian crude oil, Trump stated, "We're looking at all options."
