George Clooney Joins Chorus - Urges Joe Biden To Quit US Presidential Race

In a recent op-ed for the New York Times, Hollywood actor George Clooney, a prominent Democratic fundraiser, made a striking call for Joe Biden to step down from the 2024 presidential race.

He slammed Biden's recent debate performance against Donald Trump, stating, "It's devastating to say it, but the Joe Biden I was with three weeks ago at the fundraiser was not the Joe 'big F-ing deal' Biden of 2010."

Clooney further lamented, "He wasn't even the Joe Biden of 2020."

Clooney pointed out Biden's shaky performance, noting, "Was he tired? Yes. A cold? Maybe. But our party leaders need to stop telling us that 51 million people didn't see what we just saw."

He highlighted the sentiment among Democratic leaders, saying, "This isn't only my opinion; this is the opinion of every senator and Congress member and governor that I've spoken with in private."

The actor expressed affection for Biden but argued that his candidacy could lead to losses for the Democrats in both the presidential race and Congress.

Clooney advocated for the Democratic Party to select a new nominee at their August convention, acknowledging the challenges but suggesting it would ultimately benefit the party.
