French bartender gets jail term for serving a man 56 shots
Paris, May 28: A bartender in France has been awarded jail term after being convicted of manslaughter for serving a man 56 shots during a drinking contest which resulted to his death.
Bartender Barman Gilles Crepin, 47, has been given a four-month suspended sentence and banned from working in a bar for a year, BBC reported.

Crepin admitted he encouraged Prudhomme by displaying the shots record on a noticeboard.
The victim had spent time at the bar with his daughter and friends when he attempted to break its shots record in October last year.
His lawyer, Renaud Portejoie, said he would appeal against the decision.
"It's a decision guided by emotion and the unconscious desire to set an example," said Portejoie.
He told the court that Prudhomme had existing respiratory and alcohol abuse problems.
