Four nuclear engineers assassinated near Damascus

Damascus, Nov 10: An armed militant group assassinated four Syrian nuclear power engineers near the capital Damascus, official reports said on Monday.

The armed group Sunday ambushed a bus carrying the engineers to their work at the Scientific Research Centre in Damascus's Barzeh neighbourhood, Xinhua quoted the reports as saying.

The report has not specified whether the attack was carried out by an explosive device or shooting.

In July 2013, six people working at the same centre were killed in a mortar attack carried out by militants.
