Two of the injured victims were transported to a hospital by emergency medical services, while the remaining two made their way to a medical facility independently.

The police described the victims' conditions as stable when they arrived.

The shooting took place in the 1500 block of Harry Thomas Way Northeast, just 500 feet from the NoMa-Gallaudet U New York Avenue Metro station.

Police have yet to release the identities of the victims or provide any details regarding suspects or motives, according to WUSA9.

This incident follows a shooting on Wednesday night in New York City, where ten people were wounded outside a nightclub. The event was a memorial for a teenager who had previously been killed in the city.

Police reported that three or four men fired about 30 shots at a crowd of people standing outside the Amazura Concert Hall in Jamaica, Queens, where a private event was being held. The shooters then fled the scene in a car.

Six females and four males, aged between 16 and 20, were taken to hospital but are expected to recover, police said.

Queens Borough President Donovan Richards explained that the club was hosting a small private event to commemorate the life of a teenager who had been killed in Brooklyn late last year.
