The Montgomery County Medical Examiners Office reported that Duenas Aguilar had 68 stab wounds to her neck and upper body. The medical examiner determined her death was a homicide caused by sharp force injuries to the neck, as reported by The Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle.

Background and Investigation

Duenas Aguilar, originally from Mesquite, Texas, joined the Army in 2018. She was stationed at Fort Campbell a year later, serving with the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division. Clarksville Police and Army criminal investigators are collaborating on the case.

Her family and The League of United Latin American Citizens have offered a $55,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction. During a news conference in Texas in May, her family pleaded for justice. They highlighted that she was a mother to a four-year-old son.

The investigation continues with authorities urging anyone with information to come forward.
