Imagine travelling from Delhi to San Francisco, or Tokyo to Delhi, in under an hour. This groundbreaking possibility might soon become a reality, thanks to SpaceX founder Elon Musk and his visionary earth-to-earth spaceship concept.

Musk, the world's richest man, is leading the charge with his revolutionary spacecraft that could transport passengers anywhere on Earth in just an hour or less.

The idea gained significant attention when Musk responded to a video shared by a user on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). The video showcased how SpaceX's Starship could fulfil this ambitious goal, with Musk commenting, "This is now possible."

The concept revolves around the Earth-to-Earth or interplanetary travel that SpaceX is developing through its Starship spacecraft. Starship, coupled with the Super Heavy rocket, aims to be a fully reusable transportation system that will carry both crew and cargo to Earth orbit, the Moon, Mars, and beyond.

With the world's most powerful launch vehicle ever developed, Starship is designed to carry up to 100 people on long-duration interplanetary flights, SpaceX claims. This technology could also help enable satellite delivery, build a Moon base, and revolutionize point-to-point transport here on Earth.

In the video Musk responded to, it is speculated that Starship could drastically cut travel times between major cities. For instance, it could get passengers from Los Angeles to Toronto in just 24 minutes, London to New York in 29 minutes, Delhi to San Francisco in 30 minutes, Tokyo to Delhi in 30 minutes, and New York to Shanghai in 39 minutes.

As this ambitious project continues to develop, there's potential for it to receive approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), especially if a second term for President-elect Donald Trump sees the project move forward.

Elon Musk's contributions extend beyond SpaceX, as he has cofounded several companies, including electric car maker Tesla and artificial intelligence startup xAI. Musk's vision of revolutionizing space travel could soon change the way we think about global transportation.
