Floods in Bolivia leaves 42 dead
LA Paz, Feb 11: The number of people killed by landslides and flooding in Bolivia has climbed to 42, a top official said on Monday.

Fifteen people went missing and 47,466 families were left homeless after torrential rains struck 119 of the South American country's 339 municipalities last week, Xinhua quoted Defence Minister Ruben Saavedra as telling reporters.

The worst-hit area was in Bolivia's central Cochabamba province, he added.

Deputy Education Minister Juan Jose Quiroz announced on Monday that classes continued to be suspended in 487 schools across the country.
