Fire erupts at Dhaka's shopping mall

Dhaka, Aug 21: A fire broke out at the Bashundhara City shopping mall in Dhaka on Sunday, authorities said.

Dhaka Tribune stated that the fire erupted on level 6 whereas the Daily Star said the fire originated on the fifth floor of the shopping centre at 11.23 a.m.

Eight fire fighting units were trying to douse the blaze, the Dhaka Tribune reported.

Besides, five more units were reported on the way to the shopping mall.

The cause of the fire could not be confirmed immediately, an official said.
