FIA Busts Fake Call Centre In Islamabad—Minutes Later, Locals Walk Away With Gadgets And Cutlery | Watch
Islamabad witnessed a chaotic scene after locals raided and looted a fake call centre in Sector F-11, moments after the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) conducted a search operation. The call centre, allegedly run by Chinese nationals, was reportedly involved in international fraud.
On March 12, the FIA, along with intelligence agencies, raided the facility and uncovered its suspected role in large-scale scams targeting victims in multiple countries. More than two dozen people were arrested, but several Chinese nationals reportedly managed to escape, according to FIA sources cited by Aaj English. The investigation revealed that both foreigners and Pakistani locals were being used to carry out fraudulent activities.

The detained suspects were taken to the FIA office for further questioning.
Shortly after the operation, videos circulating on social media showed men of all ages storming the premises and looting various items. They took laptops, desktop computers, monitors, keyboards, extension cables, and even furniture and tableware.
One social media user posted a video on X, previously known as Twitter with the caption: "Pakistanis have looted a call centre operated by Chinese in Islamabad; hundreds of laptops and electronic components, along with furniture and cutlery, were stolen during the holy month of Ramadan."

The video, shared on March 17, has gained over four lakh views. It sparked various reactions online.
A user commented: "Pakistan is the only country where opening a business is riskier than investing in crypto."
Another wrote: "Looks like they mistook a call centre for a charity drive-everything from laptops to cutlery is gone!"
A third user remarked: "China looted Pakistan. Pakistanis looted a few computers and printers of China."
Such incidents of public looting are not uncommon in Pakistan. Last September, hundreds of people broke into a newly opened shopping mall in Karachi, stole clothes, damaged property, and forced their way inside. Despite the staff's efforts to stop them, the crowd overwhelmed the security and emptied the store within minutes.
Authorities have not yet confirmed whether action will be taken against those who looted the call centre.
