Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg & wife donate $75 million to San Francisco hospital

San Francisco, Feb 7: Facebook's chief executive Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan on Friday donated $75 million to the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation.

The foundation said the aid will help the hospital complete its new acute care and trauma centre. The hospital will be able to add two trauma rooms and three opening rooms and expand the size of its emergency room as a result of the biggest private donation it has received since its opening in 1994.

Zuckerberg said the donation will help improve the healthcare access in the Bay Area. He said he and his wife believed that everyone should have access to better healthcare.
