Explosion rocks China's Tianjin city, many injured

Beijing, Aug 12: An explosion rocked China's Tianjin city on Wednesday night, Xinhua news agency reported. The cause and casualties were not immediately known.

Citing residents, Xinhua said flame lit up the sky and a blast with a big noise blew up dust dozens of metres high. The explosion also shattered glass windows.

Li Jing, a woman who lives hundreds of metres from the explosion site, said she saw the wounded being sent to hospitals.
