Explosion at Kabul airport: One killed, 4 injured

Kabul, Dec 28: At least one person killed and 4 others were injured when a car bomb exploded near an airport used by NATO and coalition forces in Afghanistan , media reported on Monday.

According to reports, blast took place at Hamid Karzai International Airport after a vehicle packed with explosives was detonated by a suicide bomber.

Casualties and other details of the blast is yet to come out.

The explosion reported around three weeks after a coordinated suicide attack on a diplomatic mission in Kabul which claimed lives of at least eight people.

The Taliban-led insurgency has been rampant since April when the militant group launched its annual rebel offensive in different places of the militancy-plagued country which had claimed hundreds of lives including militants, security personnel and civilians.
