Elon Musk Vs Mark Zuckerberg Cage Fight Called Off
The much-anticipated cage fight between the two of the world's top tech moguls Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has been virtually called off.
Zuckerberg has formally announced that it is "time to move on" as Musk is not "serious" about the cage fight.

"I think we can all agree Elon isn't serious and it's time to move on. I offered a real date. Dana White offered to make this a legit competition for charity. Elon won't confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice round in my backyard instead. If Elon ever gets serious about a real date and official event, he knows how to reach me. Otherwise, time to move on. I'm going to focus on competing with people who take the sport seriously," Zuckerberg wrote on his Twitter-like app Threads.
It comes days after Musk claimed that he's been in communication with Italy's Prime Minister and Minister of Culture to discuss the possibility of hosting the event.
"The fight will be organized through our foundations, not UFC. The live stream will be available on this platform as well as Meta. The entire scene within the camera frame will reflect ancient Rome, embracing a completely non-modern atmosphere. I've conversed with Italy's Prime Minister and Minister of Culture, and we've agreed upon an awe-inspiring location. Every aspect of this endeavor will pay homage to Italy's rich past and vibrant present. And all proceeds will be dedicated to supporting veterans," Musk wrote.
However, despite Musk's recent assertion that the cage match will be set in "ancient Rome," Gennaro Sangiuliano, Italy's Minister of Culture, stated that such an event won't be held in Rome, as reported by Variety.
"I had a lengthy and friendly conversation with Elon Musk," Sangiuliano stated in a released statement (translated by Google). "We discussed our shared passion for the history of ancient Rome. We are contemplating how to organize a significant charitable and historical reenactment event, while fully respecting and safeguarding the sites. But it won't take place in Rome."
It all started with a tweet from Musk, expressing his openness to a cage match with Zuckerberg, who happens to be trained in jiujitsu.
Also, the Tesla CEO had recently claimed that the cage match between the tech moguls will be streamed live on his Twitter, which is now rebranded as X. Talking about his preparations, Musk said that he was"lifting weights throughout the day, preparing for the fight." "Don't have time to work out, so I just bring them to work," he added.
