Elon Musk Says He Fully Endorses 'Tough' Trump, Posts Photo After Assassination Bid

Tesla CEO and billionaire Elon Musk has publicly endorsed Donald Trump after the assassination bid on the former US President on Saturday.

Musk called the Republican presidential candidate "tough." He posted on his social media platform X, "I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery."

At a rally in Pennsylvania, multiple shots rang out, causing Trump to grimace and raise his right hand to his ear, reported Reuters. Despite the incident, the US Secret Service and Trump's campaign confirmed his safety.

Musk shared a photograph of Trump from the event and commented, "Last time America had a candidate this tough was Theodore Roosevelt."

Bloomberg reported that Musk donated to a political group supporting Trump, though Musk has previously stated, "Just to be super clear, I am not donating money to either candidate for US President."

In response to media reports in May about a potential advisory role for him in a Trump presidency, Musk denied any such discussions.
