Quake injures 10 in Pakistan

Islamabad, Oct 26: At least 10 people were injured in Pakistan's Punjab province on Monday when a major earthquake hit parts of the country, reports Xinhua news agency.

The epicentre of the earthquake lay in Afghanistan. A major earthquake on Monday jolted Pakistan and Afghanistan, triggering massive panic, the media reported.

Pakistanis took to social media to post reports of a "massive quake", Dawn said.

It said the tremors were felt in major cities including Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Kohat and Malakand.
