Donald Trump Refuses To Participate In Another Debate With Kamala Harris. She Calls Him 'Chicken Man'
After former US President Donald Trump refused to participate in a second debate against his Democratic rival, Vice President Kamala Harris, her campaign mocked him as "chicken."
Trump took to Truth Social to declare, "THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!!" after what many perceived as a lackluster performance in Tuesday's debate. Despite this, Trump claimed victory, insisting he "performed really well."

David Plouffe, Harris' campaign chairman, taunted Trump on X, writing, "At long last we discover his spirit animal. The Chicken." He continued to mock Trump with a quip, "Let's see if chicken man excises Hannibal Lecter out of his speech tonight. If he does, demonstrates he was humiliated on that point on Tuesday night. If he doesn't, well, that would be awesome. Classic win, win."
Trump's refusal to debate sparked a wave of online ridicule, with users on X flooding the platform with "bok bok chicken" jokes.
One user commented, "He can't. He's going to double down on Hannibal Lecter. Which I'll admit, is something I never thought I'd post..."
During a rally in Tucson, Arizona, Trump told supporters that two debates-one with Joe Biden and the other with Harris-were enough, remarking, "And because they were successful, there will be no third debate." He added, "It's too late anyway... the voting's already begun, you gotta go out and vote."
In an interview with the New York Post, Trump reiterated his stance, saying, "We just don't think that there's any need" for another debate. However, Harris subtly responded by suggesting that "We owe it to the voters to have another debate."
According to several polls, Harris outperformed Trump in the debate, with her surprising Trump with an unexpected handshake and consistently pushing him into uncomfortable topics.
Trump made controversial claims, such as illegal immigrants "eating the pets" and accusing Democrats of supporting the killing of babies. On the other hand, Harris had only a few notable stumbles.
One prominent GOP pollster warned that Trump's performance could cost him the race, despite Trump's attempts to frame the Democrats' call for another debate as a sign of desperation.
In his Truth Social post, Trump stated, "When a prizefighter loses a fight, the first words out of his mouth are, 'I WANT A REMATCH.'"
Meanwhile, Trump and his followers spent much of the day criticising ABC News and the debate moderators for what they considered unfair treatment.
