Elon Musk Net Worth: Donald Trump Names Tech Giant To Lead US 'Government Efficiency'; Know Its Likely Impact
Donald Trump has named tech gaint Elon Musk to head US Department of Government Efficiency (DoGE). Elon Musk is world's one of the most wealthiest man, with a Net Worth over $319 billion following the US Presidential elections.
Before the US elections, Donald Trump had promised Elon Musk a role in his government, while allowing him to retain control over his companies like Tesla, X, SpaceX, xAI, and Neuralink.

Elon Musk's Vision for Government Efficiency
Elon Musk aims to cut $2 trillion from the US budget and eliminate regulations that he believes hinder innovation. Instead of directly overseeing government operations, he plans to appoint trusted deputies and engineering experts to key agencies. This strategy was shared by sources familiar with his plans in an interview with the Financial Times.
"America's A team is usually building companies in the private sector," Musk posted on X. "Once in a long time, reforming government is important enough that the A team allocates time to government. This is that time."
Key Figures in Elon Musk's Circle
Individuals within Musk's inner circle are being considered for roles in government. Steve Davis, known for executing significant layoffs at X, and Omead Afshar, referred to as Musk's "firefighter" for managing difficult corporate transitions, are among them. Additionally, SpaceX executives have been proposed for positions within the Defense Department.
Musk's involvement in high-level diplomacy follows his substantial $119 million campaign contribution to Trump. Besides the call with Zelenskyy, he also participated in Trump's discussion with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Elon Musk's Influence Beyond Traditional Roles
Musk's influence extends beyond conventional government roles. His social media platform X played a crucial role in spreading pro-Trump messages during the campaign. Venture capitalists David Sacks and Jason Calacanis, who often feature Musk on their All-In podcast, are positioning themselves for potential roles within the administration.
The tech mogul's strategic moves highlight his growing power and potential impact on both domestic and international policies under Trump's leadership.
