Former US President Donald Trump Hospitalised For Observation But In 'Good Spirits'
The shooting at former US President Donald Trump's rally in Pennsylvania is being investigated as an attempted assassination of the former president and presumptive Republican nominee, law enforcement officials say. It was not immediately clear whether Trump was shot, but his campaign quickly stated that he was "fine."
Former President Trump is receiving treatment at a local medical facility and is doing OK, a law enforcement source told ABC News.

Donald Trump Jr. conveyed that he had spoken to his father and described him as being in "great spirits."
In a statement issued through his spokesperson, Trump Jr. mentioned speaking to Trump over the phone. "He will never cease fighting to save America, regardless of the challenges posed by the radical left," Trump Jr. asserted.
Meanwhile, Eric Trump tweeted a photo showing his father, visibly injured but defiantly pumping his fist in the air after the shooting. The tweet proclaimed, "This is the fighter America needs!"
"This will be investigated as an assassination attempt until it is not," according to the source.
His campaign mentioned that he was taken to a nearby hospital, but it's unclear which medical center the GOP candidate was rushed to, with at least three hospitals in the area.
A local prosecutor said the suspected gunman and at least one attendee are dead.
"President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act," spokesperson Steven Cheung said in a statement. "He is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility. More details will follow."
The Butler County district attorney confirmed to CBS Pittsburgh station KDKA that two people are dead - the gunman and an audience member. Two law enforcement sources confirmed to CBS News that the gunman was male; his identity has not been released.
Reporters heard numerous shots and Secret Service agents rushed the stage. Video captured by CBS News shows Trump touching his ear and then crouching to the ground, with some blood visible on his face.
Trump was taken away in a motorcade and held up a fist as he got into the SUV.
Officials stated that the shooter was engaged by members of the U.S. Secret Service counterassault team and killed. This heavily armed tactical team travels everywhere with the president and major party nominees, confronting any active threats while other agents focus on safeguarding and evacuating the person at the center of protection.
