District governor killed in Afghan attack
Kabul, Oct 22: A district governor in Afghanistan's Ghazni province was killed along with one policeman following an armed attack on Thursday.
"Governor of Jaghatu district Mohammad Dawood and one police were killed after militants attacked his vehicle," a police official told Xinhua news agency.
The deceased governor was travelling in his official vehicle from provincial capital of Ghazni city towards the district, the official added.

The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.
