Dentist shocked to see Guava Sprout growing in man's molar

Taipei, June 30: It is an old case that took place in 2011, but caught the media's eyes now because of the sheer absurdity and uniqueness of the medical challenge that this Dentist faced. In Taiwan, a dentist pulled out a molar tooth from a patient's mouth with a Guava sprout growing from the roots.

The man had sought dental assistance when he was experiencing immense pain in his tooth and thought it to be tooth decay. Much to the amusement of the dentist, apart from the poor health of the man's teeth, he also had a guava sprout emreging from the cavity of the molar.

The dentist is of the opinion that the seed was able to germinate freely as the man did not have a wisdom tooth on the opposite gum, giving room for the sprout to germinate. As the doctor called his other patients and fellow doctors to look into the discovery. Embarassed, the man left the clinic in a haste.
