Day 2 of Trump-Kim summit: Leaders to sign joint agreement today
Hanoi, Feb 28: US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un were looking forward to their next round of meeting in the ongoing two-day summit in Hanoi that kicked off on Wednesday, February 27. Kim, who arrived in the Vietnam capital in a train from Pyongyang, said he was waiting for a "wonderful dialogue" with the American president on the second and concluding day of the mega event.

The two leaders met for a one-on-one chat and over dinner on Wednesday. The more serious part of the talks on denuclearisation is set to take place on Thursday.
Both leaders met the press before their next meeting where Trump also expressed hope that the meeting will result in productive talks.
The two met for a one-on-one meeting again at 9 am local time (7:30 am IST) and then there was an expanded bilateral meeting. At 12.35 pm IST, the two leaders will take part in a joint agreement-signing ceremony.
"I've been saying very much from the beginning that speed is not that important to me," he said with an indication of the progress of the denuclearisation process which for many has lacked intensity and definitiveness.
"Speed is not important to me. What is important is that we do the right deal."
Kim, who spoke through a translator, said he will do his best to bring out "wonderful results" on Thursday.
Answering a reporter who asked whether he felt confident of arriving at a deal with the American side, Kim said it was too early to remark on that but he stopped short of saying that he is pessimistic, Viet Nam News reported.
Meanwhile, the White House said that President Trump and Kim will sign a joint agreement on Thursday. Observers are though expecting that it would be more precise than the vague document they had signed in Singapore last year.
