A tragic incident unfolded as a cruise ship arrived at the Port of Brooklyn, New York City, with a deceased 44-foot sei whale lodged on its bow. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) fisheries confirmed the species of the whale, highlighting its status as endangered. The vessel involved, the MSC Meraviglia, is operated by Geneva-based MSC Cruises. Upon docking in Brooklyn, the cruise line promptly informed relevant authorities about the unfortunate discovery.
