Cracked windshield forces AI Frankfurt-Delhi flight to land in Tehran
An Air India Frankfurt bound Delhi flight on Wednesday made precautionary landing at Tehran due to technical issue.

All the 249 passengers on board flying are said to be safe. The relief flight will be departing at 2 pm after its cracked windshield is replaced.
According to TOI, the left cockpit windshield of the AI 120 had devloped cracked because of which the aircraft was then diverted to Tehran where all passengers were sent to hotels.
AI 120 had departed on time from Frankfurt and was scheduled to reach Delhi at 8.30am. However, the windshield was cracked and the plane had to be diverted.
Windshield cracks happen due to uneven heating or something hitting the same.
