Corruption is the greatest threat, says Xi Jinping at CPC
As per the Chinese news agency Xinhua, the CPC rolled out the 'Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics' for a New Era at the opening session of its 19th national congress.
China's ruling Communist Party has begun its week-long once-in-a-five-year Congress which will confirm a second five-year term for President Xi Jinping and elect a new set of leaders.
Xi Jinping in his opening remarks said: "Corruption is "the greatest threat", CPC must secure "sweeping victory" in anti-graft campaign."

at
the
opening
session
of
its
19th
national
congress.
Xi
defined
the
components
of
the
thought
while
delivering
a
report
at
the
opening
session
of
the
Congress,
China's
most
significant
political
event
in
five
years.
The Party has been guided by Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory, the Theory of Three Represents, and the Scientific Outlook on Development.
A host of former leaders including previous Presidents, Jiang Zemin, Hu Jimtao took part in the opening meeting.
The 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) will also elect a new generation of leaders to work with Xi.
