‘Cool clock’ Ahmed meets President Obama
Washington, Oct 21: A 14-year-old Muslim student in US who was detained and handcuffed for taking a homemade clock mistaken for a possible bomb, to school met President Barack Obama at White House.
Clock boy Ahmed Mohamed met President Obama on Monday.
President Barack Obama invited Ahmed Mohamed, the 14-year-old from Texas him to bring his clock to the White House, who was detained on September 14.
"Cool clock, Ahmed. Want to bring it to the White House? We should inspire more kids like you to like science. It's what makes America great," tweeted Obama.

Ahmed brought the clock he made to MacArthur High School in Irving to show his engineering teacher. He was arrested after another teacher saw it and became concerned. The teacher said he liked it but told him not to show it to other teachers.
Ahmed's detention played into national debates about Islam, immigration and ethnicity.
