Body of Heavily Armed Man Found Dead with Homemade Explosives at Colorado Amusement Park

Authorities in Colorado discovered the body of a heavily armed man wearing body armor and tactical clothing, along with homemade explosives, at an amusement park. Investigations are underway to find more bombs.

On October 31, in Denver, Colorado, a shocking discovery was made at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. The body of a heavily armed man donned in tactical clothing and body armour was found along with homemade explosives. This startling incident led to the closure of the amusement park over the weekend as investigators scoured for more bombs and also conducted a search on his home.

The deceased man was just 22-years-old and was discovered on Saturday morning before the park opened to the public. According to Walt Stowe, spokesperson for Garfield County Sheriff's Office, it appears that he had broken into the park while it remained closed. Alongside him were multiple improvised explosive devices (IEDs) which were also found in his vehicle.

The authorities carried out an extensive search throughout the rest of the park looking for any other potential explosives but indicated that no others were found. However, this investigation is still ongoing and remains very active.

Potential Threat Averted

"Given the amount of weaponry, ammunition, and explosive devices found," Stowe said during a press release "the suspect could have implemented an attack of devastating proportions upon our community and first responders." The identity of this young man has not yet been released but it has been confirmed that he hailed from around this area itself.

In addition to all these alarming discoveries, he possessed a semi-automatic rifle as well as a semi-automatic handgun with multiple loaded magazines for each weapon. His attire bore patches and emblems giving off an impression that he might be associated with law enforcement agencies.

Suspected Suicide

On Saturday itself, according to Glenwood Springs Post Independent citing Stowe's statement stated that police are considering investigating this case as possible suicide although there hasn't been any confirmation or further information about the same. Stowe has not immediately returned a telephone call or an email as of Monday.

The sheriff's office, in their press release on Monday, stated that they wouldn't be releasing any other information regarding this ongoing investigation.
