Coldplay Fan Who Filmed CEO and HR Head on Kiss Cam Reacts as Video Sparks Viral Controversy
A video taken at a Coldplay concert in Boston has unexpectedly sparked widespread online discussion after it showed Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot appearing together on the event's Kiss Cam. The clip, which quickly went viral on social media, was filmed by 28-year-old concertgoer Grace Springer.
Springer, who describes herself as a "Coldplay megafan," said she did not anticipate the video would gain such traction online. Reacting to the attention it received, she said, "Play stupid games... win stupid prizes," a remark that has since been widely shared.

In the now-viral footage, Byron appears visibly surprised when the Kiss Cam focuses on him and Cabot. He reportedly muttered, "F**king hell, it's me," while Cabot responded, "This is awkward." The moment took place in front of other attendees, including a colleague from Astronomer who was reportedly seated nearby.
Social media users quickly identified the two individuals and began sharing memes and commentary. Many questioned the appropriateness of the moment, especially as both are senior executives at the same company.
Personal Lives Under Scrutiny
Following the video's release, it was reported that Andy Byron's wife, Megan Kerrigan Byron, removed her surname from her Facebook profile. This action has been interpreted by many as a response to the viral video.
Meanwhile, attention has also turned to Kristin Cabot's marital history. She was previously married to Kenneth C. Thornby, with whom she shares a child. According to public records, the couple filed for divorce in 2018, and it was finalized in 2022. Cabot is now reportedly married to Andrew Cabot.
Astronomer has not issued any official statement regarding the incident. Additionally, the LinkedIn profiles of several company executives have reportedly disappeared in recent days, though the reason behind this remains unclear.
A former employee of Astronomer has also spoken out, describing CEO Andy Byron as "aggressive" and claiming that the company had a "toxic" work environment. These claims have not been independently verified but have added to the growing public discourse around the incident.
The incident has sparked a wider conversation about workplace relationships, professional boundaries, and corporate ethics. While some have treated the moment humorously, others are raising serious questions about leadership behavior and its impact on company culture.
As the video continues to circulate, it remains unclear whether there will be any official response from those involved or the company itself.
