Clash of Clans Down Amid AWS Outage Affecting Multiple Apps and Websites

Clash of Clans users are currently facing login issues due to problems with Supercell ID, which relies on a service provider affected by the Amazon Web Services (AWS) outage.

In an official tweet, Clash of Clans said: "We are aware of the current log in issues regarding Supercell ID which relies on a service provider that is currently down. We will let you know once it is resolved, Chief."

The disruption appears to stem from issues with Amazon Web Services (AWS), one of the world's most widely used cloud hosting platforms.

The AWS outage is causing problems across dozens of websites and apps, including Clash of Clans, Ring doorbells, Snapchat, HMRC, and Roblox. Some Ring users report seeing a "failed to connect" message when attempting to access live view features.

It's important to note that not all websites and apps are affected. Google services, which run on the company's own cloud platform, remain stable. Similarly, Meta platforms including Facebook and Instagram, which experienced a major blackout in 2021, are operating normally. Elon Musk has also confirmed that his social media platform, X, is unaffected.

Other popular games impacted include Clash Royale, Clash of Clans, Palworld, and the football game Rematch, which also points to AWS-related issues. Nintendo's Switch services are reportedly struggling as well, and the company has confirmed an ongoing technical problem affecting its platform.

The AWS status page confirms the disruption, noting an operational issue in the North Virginia region, which is affecting multiple services and platforms. With AWS at the center, it's likely that many other games and online services are experiencing similar problems.

Amazon Web Services (AWS), the cloud provider at the center of the outage, has released an update: "We are seeing significant signs of recovery. Most requests should now be succeeding. We continue to work through a backlog of queued requests and will provide additional updates as they become available," the company reported on its website.
