Chinese man's selfie bid brings train to halt
Beijing, Nov 6: A Chinese man trying to capture a selfie on rail tracks, forced a train to halt using emergency brakes, the media reported on Friday.
The 19-year-old waiter at a karaoke bar climbed over the protective net and got on the Beijing-Shanghai train track to capture few selfies, China.org reported.

He found a wooden stick, which he used as a selfie stick and attached his phone to it.
Suddenly, a train was seen coming towards him as he jumped for his photos. He immediately took the phone off and jumped off the train tracks to avoid getting hit by the train.
The driver noticed the wooden stick on the tracks and immediately stopped the train.
He was fined 500 yuan ($83) by the Beijing railway police.
