China imposes restrictions on N Korea

The mining sector plays a pivotal role in North Korea's economy.

After the ban on sale of jet fuel to North Korea may hit Air Koryo, the state owned airline of Pyongyang.

The UN Security Council has recently unanimously adopted a resolution on tougher sanctions on North Korea to curb the country's nuclear and missile programmes.

The sanctions were imposed after North Korea conducted a fourth nuclear test on January 6 and launched a long-range rocket on February 7.

UN sanctions have been imposed on North Korea since 2006 because of the country's nuclear tests and rocket launches.
