Bali, Oct 8: Chinese President Xi Jinping has said that his country is committed to promoting regional peace and development, and building a cross-Pacific cooperation framework, Xinhua reported.

Addressing an Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) CEO Summit on the Indonesian resort island of Bali on Monday, the president said: "China will firmly uphold regional peace and stability, and help cement the foundation for a win-win situation in the Asia-Pacific."

He hoped that all regional members could work together to build a harmonious Asia-Pacific of "enduring peace" and "common prosperity".
