Can AI solve Russia-Ukraine war? This is what ChatGPT came up with
The AI chatbot admitted that the Russia-Ukraine war is a complex and sensitive issue but suggested a possible mediation solution.
ChatGPT, a new chatbot developed by artificial intelligence is the buzzword on google that is making headlines for its astonishing capabilities. It is known for its ability to provide a detailed answer to historical arguments to poems on cryptocurrency. But can chat GTP provide a solution to the Russia-Ukraine war? Yes, you heard it right!

Former Indian foreign secretary and writer Vikas Swarup asked ChatGPT to come up with a mediation plan for the Russia-Ukraine war and to his surprise, the AI chatbox replied with a possible solution that included steps like mediation, decentralisation of power, and international monitoring of the implementation of agreements reached during negotiations.
The AI chatbot admitted that the Russia-Ukraine war is a complex and sensitive issue but suggested a possible mediation solution.
Negotiation: The first step towrds solving the problem is through negotiations and for that both parties must agree to an immediate ceasefire. It suggested that negotiations should aim to find common ground and establish a framework for future cooperation.
Economic assistance: Financial institutions like the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank to help stabilize Ukraine's economy.
Ceasefire: The mediator would then work towards a ceasefire between the two countries to stop the violence and allow for peaceful negotiations to take place. A temporary ceasefire could be agreed upon while the details of a long-term solution are discussed.
Withdrawal of troops: Both sides would be required to withdraw their troops to their original positions before the conflict began. This would help to reduce tensions and prevent further escalation.
Dialogue: The mediator would then facilitate dialogue between the two countries to identify the root causes of the conflict and to develop solutions that are acceptable to both parties. The mediator could encourage the parties to focus on their common interests and explore ways to achieve mutual benefits.
International support: The mediator would also seek support from the international community to provide assistance in implementing the mediation plan. This could include financial assistance, technical support, and peacekeeping forces.
Implementation: Once an agreement has been reached, the mediator would work with both sides to ensure that the terms of the agreement are implemented. This would require close monitoring and verification to ensure that both parties comply with the agreement.
Review: The mediator would conduct regular reviews of the progress made towards implementing the agreement and make any necessary adjustments to the plan. This would help to ensure that the agreement remains relevant and effective over time.
In conclusion, a successful mediation plan for the Russia-Ukraine war would require the involvement of a neutral mediator, a ceasefire, the withdrawal of troops, dialogue, international support, implementation, and review.
The plan would need to be customized to the specific circumstances and interests of the parties involved, and it would require a long-term commitment from all parties to achieve lasting peace.
Senior Congress leader and former diplomat Shashi Tharoor appreciated Swarup's initiative but pointed out that leaders involved in conflicts are irrational in ways beyond comprehension of artificial intelligence.
"Interesting initiative by @vikasswarup but as he knows, in conflicts leaders are irrational in ways beyond AI's comprehension! In this specific case, I can think of several objections from both sides, mainly the Russians, to the ChatGPT formulation. But it's a great experiment!" he tweeted.
