British Airways flight hit by drone, lands safely at Heathrow airport
London, April 18: A British Airways flight was hit by a drone on Sunday as it was approaching the Heathrow Airport.
According to a report in BBC, once the flight landed safely, the pilot said that an object- reported to be a drone- had hit the front portion of the airline.

Meanwhile, aviation officials have launched an investigation into the incident. As of now no arrests have been made.
There were 132 passengers and five crew members on board the flight, which was headed from Geneva to the Heathrow Airport.
It is unclear if it was indeed a drone that struck the aircraft and if it was whom did it belong to.
Post the incident, a British Airways spokesperson said that the aircraft was thoroughly examined by engineers and was cleared to operate its next flight.
