Billionaire Media Mogul Rupert Murdoch Marries For Fifth Time At 93

Rupert Murdoch, the billionaire media magnate, has married for the fifth time on Saturday. The 93-year-old took the wedding vows with his 67-year-old girlfriend Elena Zhukhova, 67.

Russia-born Zhukhova is a retired molecular biologist and a quarter century younger than Murdoch. The two got married at Murdoch's California vineyard - Moraga.

British tabloid, The Sun, owned by Murdoch, published the newly-wedded couple's photo where they are seen smiling and happily posing before the cameras. The nonagenarian was wearing a black suit teamed with a yellow tie, while the bride carried an off-the shoulder white gown as she clutched a bouquet of lilies.

The guestlist included Robert Kraft, the 82-year-old owner of the New England Patriots US football team, along with his 50-year-old wife Dana Blumberg, reports say.

Murdoch has had a roller-coaster personal life which has always been a fodder for the tabloid newspaper industry. He has been married four times in the past, with the most recent being with model Jerry Hall - longtime partner of Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger.

In 2023, the billionaire announced his engagement to dental hygienist-turned-conservative radio host Ann Lesley Smith. However, the wedding was later called off less than a month later.

Murdoch has six children from his previous marriages. Zhukhova, on the other hand, has a daughter named Dasha Zhukova, who happens to be an entrepreneur and was previously married to Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich.

Murdoch's list of four ex-wives are Patricia Booker, Anna Torv, Wendi Deng, and Jerry Hall.

Australia-born Murdoch owns The Wall Street Journal, Fox News, Sky Italia, and other influential media firms. His family has a net worth of a whopping $20 billion, as per Forbes report. He passed over the control of his global media empire to his son Lachlan in November 2023. Murdoch has now shifted himself to an emeritus status.
