Bangladeshi blogger's death: Police indentify 7 suspects

Dhaka, July 8: Bangladeshi Police have identified seven suspects who were involved in the death of the Bangladeshi born US blogger Avijit Roy.

Police said that these seven belong to a home-grown Islamist group. The seven are said to have followed Roy on the night of Feb 26 and then brutally hacked him to death when he and his wife were returning from a book fair.

Police said that all seven are members of the banned Islamist militant group Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT).

Roy was known for his writings on religious fundamentalism.
