Sheikh Hasina Lands At Ghaziabad's Hindon Airport, Likely To Head London Via UAE
Prime Minister of Bangladesh Shiekh Hasina has resigned amidst political turmoil and left the country in search of a safe place. Reports suggest she might head to London via India and UAE in search for assistance and refuge as thousands of violent protesters have stormed her residence.
Bangladesh Air Force plane with call sign AJAX1431- C30J landed at Ghaziabad's Hindon Airport, where Sheikh Hasina's plane was refueled.
The unrest began on Sunday morning when demonstrators, under the Students Against Discrimination banner, demanded Hasina's resignation over a job quota system. They faced opposition from supporters of the ruling Awami League, Chhatra League, and Jubo League activists.

Violent Clashes Erupt
At least 101 people, including 14 policemen, died in the clashes on Sunday, according to Bengali-language newspaper Prothom Alo. The violence led authorities to cut off mobile internet and impose an indefinite nationwide curfew.
The Daily Star newspaper reported that six people were killed during confrontations between police and protesters in Jatrabari and Dhaka Medical College areas.
Protests Escalate
Students from various educational institutions gathered at Dhaka Central Shaheed Minar before and after 10 am to join the 'March to Dhaka' programme. Police responded by firing tear gas shells to disperse them.
The clashes have intensified the political crisis in Bangladesh, leading to widespread chaos and uncertainty. The situation remains volatile as authorities struggle to restore order amidst ongoing protests.
As tensions rise, the international community watches closely, concerned about the potential for further violence and instability in the region. The outcome of Hasina's departure and the response from New Delhi could significantly impact Bangladesh's future political landscape.
