The accused, Beaumont Lamarre-Condon, 28, appeared in court on Friday afternoon, facing charges. Lamarre-Condon, identified as an off-duty officer attached to a specialist command, did not apply for bail during the court proceedings.

Police Officer Charged with Two Murders in Sydney Tragedy
According to Detective Superintendent Daniel Doherty of NSW Police, blood and other evidence were discovered at Baird's home, linking the accused to the crime scene. A police firearm, ballistically matched to Lamarre-Condon, was also found, further implicating him in the alleged murders, reported CNN.
The suspect was apprehended at Bondi Police Station after his name was made public in local media reports. It's reported that Lamarre-Condon had a prior relationship with Baird, though authorities have not commented on a possible motive.
Investigation and Appeal for Public Assistance
Authorities are urging the public to assist in tracking the movements of a van allegedly used by Lamarre-Condon to dispose of the victims' bodies. The van was located on Friday morning, but its contents have not been disclosed, as reported by the Sydney Morning Herald.
Detectives are particularly interested in gathering information about the van's whereabouts between Monday and Friday morning, hoping to uncover crucial details that may lead to the recovery of the victims' bodies. Finding the bodies is deemed essential for gaining further insight into the circumstances surrounding the deaths of Baird and Davies, providing closure to their grieving families.
