At a vet’s clinic, sick dog gets comforted by ‘assistant’ dog; image goes viral

Washington, Feb 4: There are a whole lot of human interest stories related to dogs that go viral on the Internet often, reiterating the fact that the canines continue to impress with their touchy gestures. They wait outside the hospital entrance waiting for a homeless man getting treated inside or cover 600 kilometres accompanying a pilgrim to Sabarimala. And now, another instance of the dogs' 'human face' has made the headlines and this time, it is not a human who is at the taker's end of a dog's generosity but another dog.

Recently, an user named 'Eyebleach' shared a touching image of one dog comforting another sick one lying on a bed at a veterinary doctor's clinic. The photo has the caption: "This veterinarian has a comfort dog assistant that helps sick dog patients know that everything will be alright".

The post did not take much time to go viral on social media and got several thousand likes. The 'assistant dog' as well as the doctor received tremendous kudos over their gesture.
