Are girls held hostage by Boko Haram facing a food crisis?

Abuja, May 31: Is the camp of terror group Boko Haram, where over 200 girl students of a government school in Chibok have been held hostage, suffering from food crisis? According to Daily Post, a Nigerian online newspaper, the suspicion grew stronger as the terror group was found stealing food and other necessary items from communities in provinces like Borno, Adamawa and Yobe.

Local people said although the terror outfit is known for asking communities to contribute money, but it was not known for looting, the news source said.

70 Boko Haram members were killed recently while trying to loot food

Over 70 members of the outfit were killed by the vigilante group in Magadali in Adamawa on May 16 when they tried to loot food items. Seven militants were also handed over to the police after being captured.

The Boko Haram militants usually take away food items and livestocks after killing people. , the report cited local sources as saying.
