Ansarullah Bangla Team describes democracy as anti-Islam

Bangladesh, Sep 24: In another attempt to create a fear psychosis, the Ansarullah Bangla Team has not only published a list of nine persons on their hit-list, but also called for the end of democracy, terming it as anti-Islam.

The ABT in a recently published hit-list has targeted 20 bloggers accusing them of being anti-Islam.

The list includes bloggers and activists from the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, US and Sweden.

It states that nine are from U.K., seven-Germany, two-U.S and one each from Canada and Sweden.

Taking the police head on

The new list is an indicator that the ABT which is an off-shoot of the al-Qaeda in Bangladesh is challenging the police which has cracked down on their members.

Recently the several members of the ABT were arrested in Bangladesh including its chief Abul Bashar in connection with the murder of bloggers.

The message from the ABT is clear and that is will not cow down to the arrests and crackdown by the police. The ABT has made it clear that there is no place for activists and bloggers who challenge Islam.

Eradicate democracy

The other message that the ABT is trying to convey is that they want democracy eradicated at any cost. They have stated in a video message that democracy is the biggest enemy of Islam.

There is no place for democracy in Islam. Hitting out at the West, the ABT says that the democracy practiced by the West runs contrary to what Islam preaches.

Further the ABT also calls for the cancellation of the citizenship of activists and bloggers terming them as anti-Islam.

The ABT goes on to term such persons as atheists, apostates, unbelievers, anti-Islamic and agents of India.

The message by the ABT has led to several bloggers and activists filing complaints seeking protection.

The ABT has unleashed a new wave of terror in which it has been specifically targeting rationals.
