Ansari terms his Poland visit as 'productive'

He said there is vast scope for mutual cooperation between India and Poland.

Warsaw, Apr 27: Vice President Hamid Ansari on Friday said that his ongoing visit to Poland has been very productive and he would go back to India on a positive note.

Addressing the Indian community in Warsaw, he said a 25-hour stay is not a long stay, but it was very productive.

"Meeting with Polish leadership was an eye opener. We understand our potential in various fields where we can cooperate and enhance our relationship," Ansari said.

"The future of Indo-Polish ties is very bright. We have had talks where mutual cooperation can be enhanced. Our trade partnership which stands at USD 2.8 billion is increasing step by step. But we have to go beyond that. 'Make in India' is the one programme where Poland has an opportunity and can invest," the vice president said.

Ansari stressed that he would go back to India on a positive note. Appreciating the contribution of Indians, he said the Indian community in Poland contributes immensely in enriching Indo-Polish relationship. Ambassador of India in Poland Ajay Bisaria hosted a reception in the honour of Ansari.
