A Telugu couple from Palakollu in Andhra Pradesh has died in a road crash in the United States, leaving relatives in deep shock. Krishna Kishore and Asha were killed in Washington, while their two children were badly hurt. The family had returned to the US only ten days after visiting India.

According to information shared with relatives, Krishna Kishore, 45, worked as a software engineer in the US. Asha, 40, and Krishna Kishore were travelling with their son and daughter when their vehicle crashed in Washington. Both parents died at the scene. The children suffered serious injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital.

The family then began their journey back to the United States, with a layover in Dubai. During the stopover, they welcomed the New Year together. Pictures from the trip, now shared among relatives, show the family smiling at gatherings in Palakollu and at the Dubai airport before boarding the connecting flight.

Local volunteers are helping the injured children with practical needs and communication. TANA is also working with relatives in India on arrangements for repatriating the bodies of Krishna Kishore and Asha to Palakollu.

Family members in India remain focused on the condition of the two children, who are still in hospital in the US. Relatives are waiting for medical updates from American doctors and officials. The deaths of Krishna Kishore and Asha, so soon after a joyful visit home, have left both Palakollu and the wider Telugu community grieving.
