American porn website gives offers $25,000 scholarship to student

Washington, Sept 5: Pornhub, the world's most popular porn website has created history by offering a scholarship of $25,000 to an American student, media reported.

Pornhub.com, which touts 78.9 billion online video views each year, recently began accepting submissions for the scholarship as part of the site's expanded philanthropic efforts.

The move has come after CPI leader Atul Anjan recently criticised porn star Sunny Leone and her advertisements and porn websites for promoting rape in India.

According to media reports, to qualify the scholarship that the American student won, the applicants had to write an essay answering the question 'How do you strive to make others happy?' in 1000-1500 words.

Dawn Hawkins, executive director of the National Center on Sexual Exploitation, described the scholarship as "an amazing and deceptive marketing tactic," aimed at a vulnerable demographic: cash-strapped college students, reported Washington Post.
