All Threads Belong To Us: Jack Dorsey Mocks Mark Zuckerberg's Threads App, Questions Privacy Rights

Jack Dorsey, the former CEO of Twitter, has taken a dig at Mark Zuckerberg who launched 'Threads' - a rival app to the social media platform - over the user privacy. Threads is described as a text-based version of Meta's Instagram and offers a separate space for real-time updates and public conversations.

Taking to micro-blogging platform Twitter, Jack Dorsey wrote,''All your Threads belong to us,'' accompanied by a screenshot of the Threads app on an iPhone. The screenshot indicated that the app required at least 14 permissions for data collection.

All Threads Belong To Us: Jack Dorsey Takes Jibe at Mark Zuckerberg Over Privacy

As of now, Jack Dorsey's tweet has garnered 4,584 retweets, 21.2k likes and 1,842 quotes.

Reacting to that post, Elon Musk said, "yeah".

Threads was launched on July 11, and it quickly gained popularity, with millions of users signing up in the first few days. This surge in popularity reflects users' demand for an alternative to Twitter, which has faced criticism for various unpopular changes following its acquisition by Elon Musk.

After the app's launch, Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta Platforms, announced that 30 million people had registered for Threads, with 10 million signing up within the first seven hours.

Early adopters of Threads included notable celebrities like chef Gordon Ramsay, pop star Shakira, actor Jack Black, as well as renowned brands like Airbnb, Guinness World Records, Netflix, Vogue magazine, and other media outlets.
